Re: Documents missing from views after updall ~Umberto Nongeroson 26.Mar.03 02:09 PM a Web browser Domino Designer 6.0.1Windows 98
It looks like the updall process is running on this database during the time the documents mysteriously vanish from the views. However, updall runs daily on servers by default, and your documents do not disappear daily. There must be something else going on between the time people leave work on Friday, and when updall runs Sunday night. This something else creates the conditions where updall will remove all the documents from the view.
I suppose the something else in question might be fixup, since you ran that manually the day before in this case. Is your server set to run fixup weekly, over the weekend?
Possibly you can reproduce the problem by running fixup followed by updall yourself, from the server console.
I find it very odd that Shift+F9 does not make the documents reappear in the views.
Did you try, as I suggested, making a copy or replica of the database to see whether that has the same problem?
You might also try recreating one of the views from scratch, to see whether it behaves differently than the original.
That's all I have to suggest. If you can reproduce the problem reliably it's time to call Lotus Support.
